Hyundai Launches Ioniq 5 N Essential in Korea With Lower Price and Unchanged Powertrain

The lower-cost trim preserves the Ioniq 5 N’s full powertrain by cutting select convenience features.

Overview

  • Priced at ₩74.9 million after incentives, the Essential undercuts the standard Ioniq 5 N by ₩2.5 million on Hyundai’s Korean site.
  • The variant retains the dual‑motor setup and 84 kWh battery with claimed performance of about 3.4 seconds 0–100 km/h and a 260 km/h top speed.
  • Cost savings come from deleting features such as the head‑up display, wireless phone charging, vehicle‑to‑load capability, upgraded blind‑spot and highway assist functions, and the intelligent front lamp system.
  • Optional add‑ons include a Comfort Plus package, a Parking Assist Lite suite, Alcantara trim, a vehicle protection film, and a Walk‑in Interior package as listed in Korea.
  • Hyundai says the Essential is not offered in the US, and Hyundai Australia has ruled it out locally as dealers there are advised of a separate specification update expected to add features without changing price.
