Overview
- Hyundai priced the new Aura S AMT at Rs 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it above the manual-only E variant (Rs 6.54 lakh) and below the SX+ automatic (Rs 8.94 lakh).
- At Rs 8.07 lakh, the S AMT undercuts the base automatic variants of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire (Rs 8.34 lakh AGS) and the Honda Amaze (Rs 9.34 lakh CVT).
- The model is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine producing 82 bhp and 114 Nm, mated to a five-speed automated manual transmission.
- Standard safety and convenience equipment include Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, six airbags, LED daytime running lamps, tyre pressure monitoring and electrically folding outside mirrors.
- The launch is part of Hyundai Motor India’s push to democratize automatic transmission technology for first-time and urban buyers in the competitive sub-4m sedan segment.
