Overview
- Rahul Mishra opened the 18th Hyundai India Couture Week with “Becoming Love,” a Sufi-inspired collection reworked from his Paris debut that interprets the seven stages of love through Indian heritage motifs.
- On Day 1 showstopper Tamannaah Bhatia brought dual narratives to life in a hand-embroidered floral gown and a sequined lehenga that shifted hues under the lights.
- Day 2 closed with Tara Sutaria as muse for Isha Jajodia’s RoseRoom “Whispers of Love to Myself,” donning a golden corset and voluminous lace-and-tulle skirt to embody femininity and strength.
- Both “Becoming Love” and RoseRoom collections spotlight artisanal craftsmanship—zardozi, aari, naqshi and dabka work—enhanced with sequins, pearls and kundan stones.
- The weeklong schedule features marquee designers including JJ Valaya, Manish Malhotra, Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal and will run through July 30 with global livestreamed shows.
