Hyundai Cuts 2026 Ioniq 5 Prices by Up to $9,800 as Base Drops to $35,000

Hyundai says higher U.S. output kept the Ioniq 5 competitive as federal EV credits ended.

Overview

  • Hyundai will keep a $7,500 manufacturer cash incentive on remaining 2025 Ioniq 5 inventory through at least October.
  • The price reductions apply to U.S.-built Ioniq 5 models only, excluding the Korea-built Ioniq 5 N as well as the Ioniq 6 and Ioniq 9.
  • The 2026 Ioniq 5 is largely a carry-over, adding a dual-level L1/L2 charging cable and a Sage Silver Matte color option.
  • Examples of the new pricing include the SE RWD falling from $42,600 (2025) to $35,000 (2026) and the SEL trims dropping by $9,800 to $39,800 (RWD) and $43,300 (AWD).
  • Hyundai points to stronger U.S. sales and local production, noting a record third quarter with nearly 22,000 sold and 41,091 Ioniq 5s delivered through September.
