Hyundai Australia Slashes EV Prices to Clear Ioniq 6 Stock

The cuts clear leftover 2023 vehicles ahead of a refreshed Ioniq 6 range arriving next year.

Overview

  • Drive-away pricing for MY23 Ioniq 6 now starts at $49,990 for the Dynamiq, $54,990 for the Techniq AWD and $59,990 for the Epiq AWD, with savings of roughly $27,000 to $34,000.
  • Hyundai says the offer applies to older MY23 stock only, with 115 Ioniq 6 units remaining nationwide and newer MY24 and MY25 cars excluded.
  • Discounts extend to other Hyundai EVs, including the Ioniq 5 Standard Range at $65,990 drive-away, the Kona Electric Standard Range at $49,990 and the Inster from $39,990.
  • Ioniq 6 sales have fallen 72 percent year-to-date to 93 deliveries, and Hyundai is preparing a facelift with timing now listed as TBC in Australia.
  • The Ioniq 6 retains a 77.4kWh battery, a claimed 614km WLTP range for the entry model and 800V charging capable of reaching 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes, while the Ioniq 6 N performance variant is confirmed for early 2026.
