Hyundai and LG invest additional $2B in Georgia battery plant, bringing total to over $7.5B

Hyundai Motor Group and LG Energy Solution are investing an extra $2B in their Georgia battery plant, expanding previously announced plans.
The total investment in the Georgia battery plant now exceeds $7.5B, with plans for 8,500 jobs.
The plant will have an annual capacity of 30 GWh to support 300,000 EVs per year, with potential to expand to 500,000.
Battery packs assembled at the plant will supply Hyundai's upcoming US EV manufacturing facilities.
