Hyundai and LG Energy Solutions Announce $4.3 Billion EV Battery Plant in Georgia

Hyundai and LG Energy Solutions will build a $4.3 billion electric battery plant in southeast Georgia.
The plant will produce 30 gigawatt hours of batteries annually and supply 300,000 electric vehicles per year.
The plant is expected to create 3,000 jobs and production will begin in late 2025.
The investment is part of Hyundai's efforts to accelerate electric vehicle production in North America.
The plant will take advantage of new U.S. tax incentives and sourcing requirements for electric vehicle components.
