Hyundai and Kia Recall Millions of Vehicles Over Fire Risk, Advise Parking Outdoors

The recalls cover over 3 million vehicles from model years 2010-2019 due to an issue with anti-lock brake or hydraulic electronic control units.
The defect can cause brake fluid leaks and electrical shorts, increasing fire risk while parked or driving.
Hyundai reported over 20 related fires, and Kia reported over 10.
No injuries have been reported, but owners are advised to park outside until repairs are complete.
Dealers will replace fuses or modules starting in November, with repairs at no cost to owners.
