- Oak and ash create hardwood and birch creates lightwood, so none of these woods meet the requirement for upgrading the Farmer’s Workbench.
- Use the F7 target overlay to verify tree types in the world, confirming labels such as Aspen Trunk before harvesting.
- Visual cues can help: aspen shows white-speckled trunks with orange leaves, while beech has lighter brown trunks with bright green foliage.
- Any basic axe can fell the correct trees, and completing the upgrade unlocks new seeds and other farming-related items.
