HYROX Mumbai Draws 3,350+ Athletes, Setting Mark as India’s Largest Fitness Race

Organisers now plan a two-day Bengaluru festival in April 2026, aiming to scale participation further.

  • Held on September 7 at Mumbai’s NESCO Center, the race featured more than 3,350 competitors from over 50 countries, according to organisers.
  • The event used HYROX’s standard format of eight 1-kilometre runs interspersed with eight functional workouts across Singles, Doubles, Relay, Pro and Adaptives categories.
  • Participants ranged from 16 to 70 years old, adaptive athletes took part, and singer Dhvani Bhanushali competed in the Doubles field.
  • A panel at the Cricket Club of India the following day highlighted India’s endurance-sport growth, with a HYROX executive saying they are confident of doubling participation next edition.
  • Free Press Journal reported more than 4,000 spectators, while PUMA India hosted fan activations and showcased its PUMA x HYROX AH25 collection.
