HyperX and Neurable Unveil EEG Gaming Headset Prototype at CES 2026

Early demos suggested small, company-reported performance gains, not a finished product.

Overview

  • The concept headset embeds non-invasive EEG sensors in the earcups with on-device AI to track brain metrics such as focus, cognitive load and stress in real time.
  • Neurable’s short Prime neurofeedback exercise preceded Aimlabs/FPS tests that, according to company data and hands-on demos, trimmed reaction times by roughly 38–43 milliseconds and improved accuracy by up to about 3%.
  • Multiple outlets reported measurable but variable gains; some testers improved target hits and response speed, while others saw little change on repeat runs.
  • The companies position the device as an informational and training tool for players, coaches and streamers, including planned on-screen overlays that visualize focus levels during broadcasts.
  • It remains an early prototype with no model name, specs, price or release date disclosed, though Neurable says the HyperX partnership is intended to scale the technology and has indicated hopes to ship this year.
