Hyper Light Breaker Launches on Steam Early Access January 2025

Heart Machine's co-op open-world roguelike debuts January 14, 2025, bringing a new 3D adventure to the Hyper Light universe.

Hyper Light Breaker, developed by Heart Machine and published by Arc Games, will launch in Steam Early Access on January 14, 2025, priced at $29.99.
The game is set in the Overgrowth, a procedurally generated open world where players battle enemies, uncover secrets, and build resources in solo or three-player co-op mode.
This is the first 3D entry in the Hyper Light universe, serving as a prequel to 2016's Hyper Light Drifter, with no spoken dialogue and a comic panel-inspired storytelling style.
The early access version will feature limited content, including a few playable characters, two bosses called Crowns, and no final boss, with additional content planned during its year-long early access phase.
Heart Machine has assured that recent layoffs at the studio will not impact the game’s development or release plans, with player feedback set to shape its evolution.
