HYDRAA Demolishes Encroaching Miyapur Building, Steps Up Hyderabad Land Reclamation

Officials say reclaimed sites are fenced with signage to deter re-encroachment.

Overview

  • Acting on an HMDA complaint, HYDRAA tore down the portion of a five-storey structure that intruded into HMDA land at Survey No. 101 in Miyapur.
  • Investigators say Bhanu Constructions used fabricated layout-regularisation papers, including a fake demand draft, to split 473 sq yd of government land into four plots, and a case was filed at Ameenpur Police Station.
  • In a separate Saturday drive in Manikonda, HYDRAA reclaimed one acre of government land and park sites totaling over 7,650 sq yd, valued at roughly ₹300 crore, and secured the parcels with fencing and boards.
  • The Manikonda actions covered Panchvati Colony and park sites in Venkateswara Colony and Tirumala Hills, with officials noting irregular permissions issued in 2019 despite earlier public-use designations.
  • Earlier this week in Rangareddy, teams restored a 976‑sq‑yd park at Shastripuram and cleared a 1.28‑acre Jillelguda parcel allegedly sold under forged pattas, with the total recovery there valued at about ₹111 crore.
