Overview
- Built under the Strategic Road Development Programme at a cost of Rs.178 crore, the six-lane, 1.2-kilometer flyover is the third level above two existing structures at Gachibowli Junction.
- GHMC officials report that construction is in its final stage with arrangements to complete the work by the end of May for a first-week June inauguration.
- The 24-meter-wide corridor is projected to cut travel time and fuel consumption on the ORR–Kondapur–Hafizpet route by relieving key bottlenecks.
- By providing direct access from the Outer Ring Road to Hitec City and the Financial District, the new flyover aims to streamline commuter traffic through Hyderabad's IT corridor.
- Authorities have also called on South Central Railway to finish the Shastripuram and Falaknuma overbridges within three months to maximize traffic relief.
