Hyderabad Sets Khairatabad Ganesh Traffic Diversions From Aug. 27 to Sept. 6

Officials aim to ease festival congestion, preserving emergency corridors.

Overview

  • Hyderabad Traffic Police announced daily restrictions that will operate roughly from 11 a.m. until late night through the immersion day on September 6.
  • Key diversions include VV Statue–to–Mint traffic rerouted via Nirankari Junction and Old Saifabad PS flows redirected toward Iqbal Minar via Rajdoot Lane.
  • Additional detours send vehicles from Iqbal Minar toward Telugu Talli Junction, from Necklace Rotary toward Telugu Talli Junction or the Khairatabad flyover, and from the Post Office lane away from the Khairatabad Railway Gate.
  • Visitors are directed to park at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking beside IMAX, the open site opposite IMAX, Saraswathi Vidya Mandir High School, or Visvesvaraya Bhavan near Khairatabad junction.
  • Heavy congestion is expected at Khairatabad, Shadan College, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, Mint Compound, and Necklace Rotary; police advise avoiding these routes, using Metro/MMTS/RTC or carpooling, and calling the helpline 9010203626 as Joint Commissioner D. Joel Davis urges cooperation.
