- Ten Armed Reserve women constables completed two months of training at the Goshamahal Mounted Unit and will begin mounted duties.
- The new riders will be deployed for bandobust, VIP security, and routine patrolling as part of a broader effort to bring women to the forefront of policing.
- The dog squad will grow from 34 to 54 after training at the Integrated Intelligence Training Academy to bolster explosives and narcotics detection and criminal tracking.
- A special committee will vet reputed breeders to ensure only high-quality dogs are procured, with 12 puppies already presented at the launch event.
- Stables and kennels will relocate to a government-sanctioned 11.5-acre site with kennels for 60 dogs, stables, a parade ground, and City Security Wing buildings, with tenders due to be finalised on September 8.
