• On May 25, officers from the Commissioner’s Task Force (Central Zone) and Abids Police raided four mobile shops in Jagadish Market.
• Proprietors Vikram Singh, Suresh Kumar Rajpurohit, Natharam Choudary and Mohammad Sarfaraz were arrested during the operation.
• Authorities seized counterfeit accessories including 156 AirPods, 16 power banks, 430 Apple logo stickers and 1,430 silicone back covers, valued at ₹1.01 crore.
• Police allege the fake goods, complete with duplicate Apple branding and packaging, were procured from marketing agents in Mumbai.
• Investigators say the suspects knowingly violated copyright laws to maximise profits and now face prosecution in Abids court.
