Hyderabad Police Arrest Three in Kismatpur Kidnapping, Gang Rape and Murder Case

Police say CCTV review plus crime-scene reconstruction pinpointed the auto rickshaw used in the attack.

Overview

  • Rajendranagar police arrested Gulam Dastagir, 26, Mohd Imran, 25, and Meka Durga Reddy, 33, in connection with the killing of an unnamed woman near Kismatpur bridge.
  • Investigators said Durga Reddy first lured the woman at Aramgarh on September 14, took her to Satamrai in Shamshabad, sexually assaulted her, and dropped her back at Aramgarh.
  • Police allege Dastagir and Imran then forced the woman into an auto, took her to Kismatpur bridge, gang raped her, and that Dastagir fatally beat her with a stick when she resisted.
  • The woman’s body was found the next day near the bridge, and officers traced movements using cameras on roads leading to the scene before detaining the suspects.
  • According to DCP Ch Srinivas, the three men admitted involvement during interrogation and have been remanded as the investigation by Rajendranagar police and the Cyberabad Special Operations Team continues.
