  • On August 8, the board lifted three additional floodgates at Himayatsagar, bringing the total to four and boosting discharge to 2,070 cusecs after inflows peaked.
  • Inflow into Himayatsagar hovered near its full tank level of 1,763.50 feet, reaching as high as 4,000 cusecs at 10 a.m.
  • Osmansagar remained below capacity with 2.554 tmcft of water against a 3.90 tmcft maximum while receiving 400 cusecs.
  • Managing Director K Ashok Reddy convened senior officials and urged coordination with Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district administrations, GHMC, HYDRAA and police.
  • Collector Harichandana Dasari activated a control room at the collectorate and cancelled tahsildars’ leaves under SOPs to manage potential flood impacts.
