Overview

• Ghatkesar police arrested Vadluri Sharadha, her daughter Vadluri Manisha and Manisha’s partner Mohammad Javeed Hussain on July 9–10 for the murder of 45-year-old security guard Vadluri Lingam.
• Authorities allege the trio hatched the plot two weeks in advance, drugging Lingam with sleeping pills before beating, strangling and dumping his body in Edulabad Lake.
• Police recovered blood-stained items, the rope used for strangulation, Lingam’s rings, smartphones from all three accused and the bike employed to transport the body.
• Investigators say Lingam had repeatedly clashed with Sharadha over her alleged extramarital affair and with Manisha over her live-in relationship with Javeed.
• All three have been charged under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and remanded to judicial custody as prosecutors prepare forensic and digital evidence.
