Overview

• Heavy upper-catchment rain led to large discharges from Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, pushing the Musi over its banks and inundating Chaderghat and the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station.
• Roughly 1,000 residents and bus passengers were evacuated, with drones used to deliver food to people stranded in low-lying areas.
