  • On August 7, coordinated intelligence-led raids by the Prohibition and Excise department resulted in the arrest of five individuals at multiple Hyderabad locations.
  • Officials confiscated 66 grams of brown sugar, 5.14 grams of MDMA and over 1.7 kilograms of ganja during the operations.
  • Investigators traced the brown sugar shipment to Malda, the MDMA to a Bengaluru contact and the ganja consignments to Nagpur networks.
