HYBE and Geffen Records Unveil New Global Girl Group KATSEYE

The six-member group, selected from 120,000 submissions, will release their debut album in 2024 and be the subject of a Netflix documentary.

  • New global girl group KATSEYE has been unveiled, consisting of six international members: Daniela Avanzini, Lara Rajagopalan and Megan Skiendiel from the U.S.; Yoonchae Jeong from South Korea; Sophia Laforteza from the Philippines; and Manon Bannerman from Switzerland.
  • The final lineup for KATSEYE was determined by a combination of early votes and real-time votes during the live finale, as well as evaluators’ scores.
  • KATSEYE will release their debut album in 2024. Three songs that debuted during the finale — “Dirty Water,” “Girls Don’t Like” and “All the Same” — are now available on YouTube.
  • The process of developing KATSEYE will be chronicled in an upcoming Netflix documentary series, set to premiere in summer 2024. The film will be directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Nadia Hallgren and produced by HYBE, Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures.
  • The formation of KATSEYE is a result of an unprecedented collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, with the selection process starting from 120,000 submissions narrowed down to the final six.
