Husqvarna Launches Doom on Robotic Lawnmowers

In a unique blend of gaming and gardening, Husqvarna's Automower NERA series will feature the classic game Doom as a playable option.

Husqvarna, known for its outdoor power tools, is set to make the iconic game Doom playable on its robotic lawnmowers starting April 2024.
The Doom update will be available for free to around 30,000 owners of the Husqvarna Automower NERA range, playable between April and September 2024.
The initiative was first showcased at Dreamhack Winter 2023, receiving positive feedback and leading to its public rollout.
Playing Doom on the lawnmowers involves using a control knob for navigation and buttons for actions like running and shooting.
This marks the latest in a series of unconventional platforms to run Doom, reflecting the game's widespread influence and the creativity of its fans.
