• On June 19 in Dan Bahadur Dih village, Gonda, Harishchandra caught his wife Karishma with alleged lover Shivraj Chauhan and took them to Budhau Baba Mandir for an impromptu wedding ceremony.
• He washed the sindoor from Karishma’s forehead and had a priest solemnize her marriage to Shivraj on the spot.
• Karishma says she was coerced into the ritual and denies any romantic involvement with Shivraj.
• Harishchandra alleges Karishma attempted to poison him and their 11-year-old son, prompting him to abandon her.
• Karishma left with her daughter after the ceremony while Harishchandra kept their son and police say they will open a case only on receipt of a written complaint.
