Hurricanes Sign Aho to 8-Year, $78M Contract Extension

Aho agreed to an 8-year, $78 million contract extension with the Hurricanes.
The deal starts next season and has an average annual value of $9.75 million.
Aho scored 36 goals and had 31 assists last season and is considered one of the NHL's top two-way centers.
The signing comes after Carolina re-signed other key players and made additional moves this offseason.
At 22, Aho is already a two-time All-Star and franchise player for the Hurricanes.
