Search Continues for Missing Sailor Ruben Torres Amid Rising Death Toll

Hurricane Otis, a Category 5 storm, hit Acapulco Bay on October 25, causing significant damage and loss of life.
Among the victims was sailor Ruben Torres, who sent a final message to his family from his yacht, the Sereno, asking them to pray for him.
The Sereno was one of 614 boats in the bay that night, and ended up damaged or on the ocean floor. One person aboard the Sereno survived, while Torres and the boat's captain remain missing.
Officially, Otis killed at least 48 people, most drowned, and some 26 are missing. However, sailors, fishermen and their families believe the number of missing is much higher.
Susana Ramos, Torres' wife, has been searching for her husband since the storm, visiting the morgue daily and checking hospitals, lists of dead and missing, the naval base, and other locations.
