Overview

• Officers, EMS, and fire crews were dispatched to the area of 54 Weymouth Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a hunter who fell from a tree.
• First responders used RapidSOS to locate the man about 300 yards into the woods, where he was found with apparent serious injuries.
• The victim became unresponsive as aid was given, CPR was performed, and he was transported out of the woods by UTV.
• He was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and later pronounced dead, and his identity has not been released.
• Enfield Police say the incident remains under investigation and ask anyone with information to call Officer Shafique at 860-763-8910.
