Hunter Biden's defiance of the subpoena has been criticized by right-leaning publications, who argue that he is avoiding detailed questioning that would occur in a deposition.
Lowell has stated that if a new subpoena is issued under the 'duly authorized impeachment inquiry', Hunter Biden 'will comply for a hearing or deposition.'
