Hundreds of Thousands of Children Send Holiday Wishes to Santa in Germany

Santa's helpers in Brandenburg and Saxony process letters filled with global wishes for gifts, peace, and creativity.

The Weihnachtspostamt in Himmelpfort, Brandenburg, received nearly 300,000 letters from children worldwide, including over 11,000 from 59 countries.
The most distant letter came from Christchurch, New Zealand, traveling over 18,000 kilometers to reach Santa's team in Germany.
Popular gift requests include classic toys like dolls, toy cars, and building blocks, as well as modern items like tablets and gaming consoles.
Children also expressed heartfelt wishes for world peace, good health for loved ones, and snowy Christmas celebrations.
In Radebeul and Moritzburg, Saxony, Santa collected over 500 local letters, with creative requests ranging from football goals to unique ideas like a 'homework-free pass.'
