Hundreds of Fireworks Boxes Stolen from Supermarket Containers in Ratingen

Thieves broke into two containers over Christmas, causing tens of thousands of euros in damages, and police are seeking witnesses.

Unknown perpetrators broke into two containers at a supermarket in Ratingen, near Düsseldorf, between December 24 and December 27, 2024.
The thieves cut through the metal walls of the containers to access and steal several hundred boxes of fireworks stored inside.
The estimated financial loss from the theft is reported to be in the tens of thousands of euros.
The containers were located near the goods receiving area of the supermarket, on the street 'An der Hoffnung.'
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses who may have observed suspicious activity during the specified time frame.
