Human Remains Found on Southern California Beach After Missing Fishermen's Boat Capsizes

Authorities are investigating whether the discovered body parts are linked to two fishermen who disappeared earlier this week near the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

A severed human leg was discovered on Christmas Day along the shoreline of Palos Verdes Estates, followed by another leg and a femur found the next day.
The remains were located near the site where a small fishing boat belonging to two missing men was found overturned earlier this week.
The fishermen, both in their 50s, went missing on December 23 after departing from San Pedro during stormy conditions; a search for them was suspended on December 25 due to dangerous weather.
Authorities have not confirmed any connection between the body parts and the missing fishermen, and identification of the remains is still pending.
This marks the second instance in two months of human remains washing ashore in the same area, with a skull and bones found in November.
