• Investigators recovered human remains from a shallow grave behind the shuttered Ada H. Lewis Middle School after a very specific anonymous tip the night before.
• Philadelphia police said the remains are believed to be those of 23-year-old Kada Scott, with identification pending from the medical examiner.
• Earlier in the week, officers found a 1999 Toyota Camry on the same campus with heavy front-end damage and Scott’s phone case and debit card nearby.
• Keon King, 21, has been charged with kidnapping for ransom, false imprisonment, stalking, recklessly endangering another person, and tampering with evidence, and he is being held on $2.5 million bail.
• Prosecutors refiled charges from a separate January case after his arrest, and no charge has been filed in a death at this time.
