Human Remains Discovered Near Brooklyn Bridge Park Carousel

Authorities investigate after multiple sets of bones found near popular waterfront attraction within days.

A skull and other bones were initially discovered on Monday morning by a parks department officer.
Additional human bones, including a femur, were found early Wednesday in the same location.
The remains were located just feet from Jane’s Carousel, a historic merry-go-round installed in 2011.
The city medical examiner's office is working to determine if the bones are from the same individual.
An anthropologist will analyze the remains to ascertain the age, race, and gender of the deceased.
