• The sequel series will introduce a new Slayer, tentatively named Nova, described as a cerebral 16-year-old loner with a focus on intellect over charisma.
• Nova's 'Scoobies' will include Hugo, an out-and-proud nerd from a wealthy background, and Gracie, a young vampire expert and loyal follower of Buffy.
• Sarah Michelle Gellar is confirmed to return as Buffy Summers in a recurring guest role and will also serve as an executive producer.
• The project is led by a female-driven creative team, with Chloé Zhao attached as director and executive producer, and Nora and Lilla Zuckerman as showrunners.
• Casting for the main roles is currently ongoing as Hulu moves closer to officially greenlighting the pilot for the highly anticipated continuation of the Buffyverse.
