• AFI Fest selected the film for its closing-night world premiere on October 26 at the TCL Chinese Theatre, according to the festival.
• Focus Features released the first trailer on September 9, showcasing the Milwaukee duo Lightning & Thunder performing Neil Diamond hits such as “Cherry, Cherry” and “Sweet Caroline.”
• The feature opens nationwide on December 25 through Focus Features.
• Writer-director Craig Brewer adapted the story from Greg Kohs’ 2008 documentary, with Kohs on board as an executive producer.
