Overview

  • HTC has opened Taiwan-exclusive pre-orders for the VIVE Eagle at NT$15,600, with retail availability scheduled to begin on September 1, 2025.
  • The display-less Wayfarer-style glasses weigh about 49 grams and feature ZEISS UV400 lenses, an open-ear stereo audio setup and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera.
  • Users can invoke on-device AI assistants—Vive AI, Google Gemini or OpenAI’s ChatGPT beta—via voice commands for tasks such as translation in 13 languages, note taking and image capture.
  • All photos, videos and user data are stored locally under a privacy-first architecture protected by AES-256 encryption, ensuring no content is uploaded for external AI training.
  • Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage, the VIVE Eagle delivers up to 36 hours of standby or 4.5 hours of continuous music playback with fast magnetic charging.
