Overview
- The rules apply across all 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 conurbated State of Mexico municipalities within the Valley of Mexico metropolitan area.
- Vehicles with Hologram 1 and even plate endings (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) may circulate today, while all Hologram 2 and foreign-plated vehicles are barred every Saturday.
- Exemptions include cars with Hologram 00 or 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, emergency units, public transport, motorcycles and vehicles with disability plates.
- Noncompliance can lead to traffic stops, vehicle impoundment and fines of 20 to 30 UMA under the local traffic regulations.
- Motorists can confirm their status and any exemptions at hoynocircula.cdmx.gob.mx, and the program does not operate on Sundays.
