Overview
- From 05:00 to 22:00, vehicles with pink stickers and plates ending in 7 or 8 with hologram 1 or 2, as well as non-resident cars without a permit, may not circulate.
- The program operates across the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 State of Mexico municipalities, with the Valle de Toluca rollout aligned to the same weekday rotation.
- Exempt vehicles include those with holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid cars, motorcycles, public transport and freight, and authorized health workers with a valid credential.
- In CDMX, violations can lead to a fine of 20–30 UMAs (about 2,075–3,113 pesos) and possible impoundment; Edomex authorities cite a broader 20–200 UMA framework, with Valle de Toluca deferring fines until January 1, 2026.
- No air-quality contingency is in effect, the Sunday program is suspended, and Saturdays follow an odd/even plate scheme with hologram 2 vehicles restricted every Saturday.
