Overview

• Vehicles with green sticker, plates ending in 1 or 2, and verification hologram 1 or 2, including those with provisional permits, must stay off the road from 5:00 to 22:00.
• Exempt units include those with holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, public transport, taxis and motorcycles, per Sedema and CAMe.
• The restrictions apply across the 16 Mexico City boroughs and designated Edomex zones, with coverage extended to areas such as Valle de Toluca and Santiago Tianguistenco.
• Air monitoring reports did not trigger an environmental contingency, so no extraordinary measures like Doble Hoy No Circula are active.
• CDMX enforcement can impose fines of 20–30 UMAs (about $2,074.80–$3,112.20 MXN) and impound vehicles, while vehicles from neighboring states may circulate under homologated verification rules.
