Overview
- From 5:00 to 22:00, vehicles with yellow sticker, hologram 1 or 2, and license plates ending in 5 or 6 may not circulate, and the rule also applies to out-of-state cars.
- The restriction is in force across the 16 boroughs of Mexico City and 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico, including the Valle de Toluca rollout.
- In Mexico City, violating the program carries fines of 20 to 200 UMAs and possible towing to the impound lot.
- In Valle de Toluca municipalities, authorities are in a July–December socialization phase without fines, with monetary sanctions scheduled to begin on Jan. 1, 2026.
- No Doble Hoy No Circula has been announced, and any escalation would be triggered by air-quality and meteorological conditions communicated by authorities.
