Overview

• From 05:00 to 22:00, vehicles with yellow stickers and plate endings 5 or 6 carrying hologram 1 or 2, as well as foreign-plated cars, may not circulate in Mexico City and the participating Edomex municipalities.
• Vehicles without a verification hologram and foreign plates also face an additional weekday restriction from 05:00 to 11:00.
• The program is suspended on Sundays, while Saturdays use a parity rotation and all hologram 2 vehicles are barred every Saturday.
• Mexico City enforces fines of 20 to 200 UMAs with possible impoundment, whereas Edomex will not issue monetary sanctions until January 1, 2026.
• Exemptions include vehicles with hologram 00 or 0 and those with clean or electric technologies, and no Doble Hoy No Circula contingency is active.
