Overview

• The restriction applies to vehicles with verification holograms 1 and 2 and is in force from 5:00 to 22:00.
• Coverage includes the 16 Mexico City boroughs and 18 conurbated Edomex municipalities, with homologated criteria that also recognize valid verification from Hidalgo, Morelos, Puebla and Tlaxcala.
• Exempt units include vehicles with hologram 00 or 0, electric and hybrid cars, motorcycles, taxis and passenger transport, according to CAMe guidance.
• Noncompliance can result in fines of 20 to 30 UMAs—about 2,074.80 to 3,112.20 pesos—and authorities in CDMX may send vehicles to an impound lot.
• Earlier in the week, green-sticker vehicles with plates ending in 1 or 2 were barred on Wednesday and Thursday under the standard schedule.
