Overview

• Vehicles with blue stickers, plate endings 9 or 0, and verification holograms 1 or 2, including those on provisional permits, are barred from circulating this Friday in the 16 CDMX boroughs and 18 Edomex municipalities.
• Exempt categories include holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid vehicles, motorcycles, public transport and freight units, taxis, and authorized health‑care worker vehicles.
• Violations carry fines of 20 to 30 UMAs (about MXN 2,074.80 to 3,112.20) and may lead to towing under the CDMX transit regulations.
• Thanks to harmonized rules, vehicles from Edomex, Hidalgo, Morelos, Puebla, and Tlaxcala may circulate under the same criteria if they hold valid local verification.
• For Saturday, Sept. 13, restrictions apply to all hologram 2 vehicles and, as the second Saturday of the month, to hologram 1 vehicles with even plate endings from 5:00 to 22:00.
