Overview
- Hologram 1 and 2 vehicles with pink stickers and plate numbers ending in 7 or 8 are barred from circulating from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Mexico City and until 11 a.m. for foreign-plated cars.
- The ban exempts vehicles with hologram 00 or 0 and those with electric or hybrid propulsion.
- Since July 1 the program has extended to over 30 municipalities in the Valle de Toluca and Santiago Tianguistenco regions of the State of Mexico.
- Drivers in Mexico City face fines of 20 to 200 UMAS and impoundment for violations, while fines in the Toluca area are suspended until January 1, 2026.
- The Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis will monitor air quality and meteorological conditions throughout the day to determine whether to impose Doble Hoy No Circula measures.
