- Friday’s restrictions apply to vehicles with blue stickers, plate endings 9 or 0 and holograms 1 or 2 in 16 Mexico City boroughs and 18 State of Mexico municipalities from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Exemptions cover vehicles with holograms 00 and 0, electric and hybrid cars, motorcycles, public-transit units and authorized health-sector vehicles.
- CDMX drivers face fines of 20–30 UMAs (about 2,075–3,112 pesos) plus potential impoundment for violations.
- In Toluca and Santiago Tianguistenco the program remains informational until January 1, 2026, when monetary sanctions will begin.
- Operated by the Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis, the unified scheme is running under its regular rotation without activating contingency or ‘Doble Hoy No Circula’ measures.
