• Facebook includes a Video Playback setting under Settings > Preferences > Media that lets users select Never to stop videos in Feed and Stories.
• X (formerly Twitter) allows users to set Autoplay to Never via Settings and privacy > Accessibility, display and languages > Data usage, with an extra option to disable Media previews under Display and sound.
• Bluesky offers a straightforward Autoplay videos and GIFs toggle in Settings > Content and media that can be switched off.
• Instagram lacks a true off switch for autoplay, though turning on Use less cellular data under Profile > Settings and activity > Your app and media > Media quality slows playback off Wi‑Fi and audio generally does not start unless tapped.
