Overview

  • Universal Pictures will offer the live-action remake for digital purchase and rental on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home beginning July 15.
  • The film has grossed over $560 million worldwide since its June 13 theatrical debut.
  • 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD editions reach stores on August 12 with more than 75 minutes of bonus content led by deleted scenes, a gag reel and exclusive featurettes.
  • A Peacock streaming date has not been announced, following Universal’s typical pattern of delayed platform releases.
  • Directed by original co-creator Dean DeBlois and starring Mason Thames, Gerard Butler and Nico Parker, the remake reimagines the 2010 animated classic with upgraded CGI.
