Robert Cary McNair Jr., son of Houston Texans owner Janice McNair, has filed an application to have his mother declared incapacitated and appoint himself as her guardian.
Janice McNair and her other son, Cal McNair, who is the Chairman and CEO of the Texans, are contesting this application and have accused Cary McNair of breaching his fiduciary duties.
The McNairs have requested that the court records in the case be sealed to protect Janice McNair's confidential personal, financial and medical information.
The family dispute comes as the Texans prepare for their first playoff appearance since the 2019 season.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for January 26.
