Houston School District Eliminates Librarians, Converts Libraries to Discipline Centers

Houston Independent School District is implementing a reform called the New Education System at 28 schools.
These 28 schools will have their librarians removed and libraries converted into discipline centers called "team centers."
Books will remain available for checkout in these libraries under an honor system.
